Girl is Art

Mona-Lisa smile

I once read a quote on the internet on a picture that represents a girl taking her sweater off: “Highest form of art-girls”. I first smiled thinking “what a cute and super feminist assumption”. But a visit at Louvre Museum in Paris made me rethinking that thought. More than half of those pieces of art; guess what? represents a painted portrait of a woman or a sculpture of her body. For centuries the greatest artists of the world were inspired by the grace of their muses transforming those moments in works of art that lasted a lifetime. And after 200 years we still pay big amount of money to have one of that precious work of art hanged on our wall or simply to admire them in a museum. Whoever wrote that quote knows the real value of a woman. A portrait of a woman is called art. A sculpture of her nude curves or semi-nude is art. Psychologists made study cases trying to understand a woman’s mind and they still don’t have an exact equation of how that works. The greatest designers of the world creates gorgeous gowns that value nothing without a woman to wear them. Great love songs were written for women inspired by women. Thousands of love poems saw the day light thanks to the thoughts that a lady can awake in a poet’s mind.

Now, after that visit in Paris I agree with that person. A girl is art just by being. As simple as that!
